Indonesia As the 2nd Largest Contributor in Plastic Waste

Ministry of Environment and Forests assess the waste problem has been worrying. Indonesia even take second places in the world as a producer of plastic waste into the Sea after China. Based on Jambeck (2015) Indonesia’s plastic waste reached 187.2 million tons, after China, which reached 262.9 million tons. The amount of trash of Indonesia’s plastic waste is the equivalent of an area of 65.7 hectares of plastic bags, or about 60 times the size of a football field. From the news that has been written above it, can be seen that garbage in the world cause for a serious concern. Plastic waste dumped into the sea by humans can damage animal habitats and harm animals that live in the sea. We, as the young generation can make changes in order to create a better world.
